Even the Best Employers Have a Talent Crunch
The immense and unique challenges of the past couple years altered business practices world-wide. Millions of Americans lost their jobs or resigned. Many have left the workforce altogether. There are over 10 million open jobs in the US right now, and half as many people looking for employment. The HR landscape has shifted, and the hunt for talent has gotten fiercer. It’s a challenging time to fill open positions.
During this period Tayloe/Gray made numerous efforts to improve. As an agency, we always strive to offer the best service possible for our clients. That has not changed and will not. But internally, as a company of about two dozen people, we have endeavored to be a dynamic workplace with an electrifying culture, dazzling talent, and a supportive team. We’ve expanded our benefits package, emphasized flexibility, and made sure that even our most critical staff members can take vacations without worries for their projects or teams. Tayloe/Gray is committed to continued improvement through the input of our staff and the diligent work of our leadership team. Our team gets together for little holiday parties and lunches when conditions permit. We also have a weekly trivia contest with rotating responsibility for creating and running the quizzes. Sometimes we go out for a meal or drinks, and some fellowship. While tangible benefits are critical, we find that some of the less tangible perks are also some of the most fun.
Tayloe/Gray Makes List of Best Employers (Again)
With a persistent emphasis on improving our internal systems and services, we aren’t interested in being good. We want to be the best. While we feel like there’s still work to be done, we did earn a place on Business North Carolina’s list of Best Employers for the second year in a row. This accolade is a welcome acknowledgement of our entire crew, especially our leadership team, and all they have done to make Tayloe/Gray a thriving, creative, dynamic place to work.
