Digital & Social Media Marketing Intern

Overview

Learn from our Experts in Awesome! Tayloe/Gray is looking for motivated interns to join our team. Interns will gain knowledge and experience assisting with content creation, management, scheduling, and reporting across various social media platforms for multiple clients. They will collaborate with our team to brainstorm creative organic social media campaigns and initiatives. Interns should be familiar with or have an interest in photography, videography, and photo/video editing. They should also be active observers of online trends and discourse.

Under the guidance of our team leaders, interns will have the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a fast-paced agency environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in a future career at a digital marketing agency. This individual should be a self-starter and able to accomplish projects with little supervision.

Our team works cohesively and iterates together, there are no solo missions here. Self-motivation and willingness to continue your education are the foundation for your career and allow you the growth you deserve.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn how an agency operates: track hours, manage time across multiple projects and numerous clients, communicate effectively with team, attend client meetings/on-location project visits, understand workflow (locating, pitching, onboarding, assessing results, etc.)
  • Assess learning progress through a pre & post-internship survey, goals meeting, mid-semester check-in meeting, and exit interview
  • Develop critical thinking, research, and written & oral communication skills through blog posts, research projects, and written assessments, culminating in a final oral presentation

Minimum Qualifiactions

  • Must be a registered undergraduate student of junior or senior status with a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Seeking a degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations, Digital Arts, or other related program
  • Strong project management skills, deadline and detail-oriented
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of social media platforms including, but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Experience with videography, photography, and photo/video editing
